Christmas card design competition 2019

   30 October 2019

Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament for South East England, Antony Hook, has launched a competition for all primary schools to design a Christmas card that will go to the leaders of the European Union and to people all over the world.

Mr Hook said,

“As an MEP I have contact with people all over the South East and all parts of the world and will be sending Christmas greetings.

“Many MPs traditionally invite local primary school children to design their Christmas card, which is a wonderful thing. As an MEP I represent all of South East England with almost 3000 primary schools.

“That’s why I have written to every primary school in South East to invite their pupils to submit a picture for my Christmas card inspired by kindness, peace, generosity or friendship.

“I expect it will be a hard choice but I will select one to go on my Christmas card and will make a gift of book tokens to the school of the pupil who designs it.

“Nothing is more important than education and I would like to thank every teacher in the South East for all they do for our children.”

Schools have received, by email, details of how to submit children’s artwork by 22 November 2019.
