Antony Hook MEP Christmas card competition 2019
6 December 2019
Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament for South East England, Antony Hook, invited all children at primary schools across the region to design a Christmas card that will go to people across the UK, Europe and the world.
Mr Hook asked children to design a card based on themes of peace, friendship, generosity and kindness.
After receiving hundreds of fantastic entries, Antony and his staff have picked a winner followed by a runner-up and third place.
The winner of the competition was Eila, a Year 6 student at the Caroline Haslett Primary School in Milton Keynes. The runner up was Mimi, a Year 5 student at the Roseacre Junior School in Bearsted, and in third place was a group from Downs View Infant School in Ashford.
Antony said,
“I would like to thank everybody that entered my Christmas card competition.
“We had hundreds of fantastic entries from young people across the South East and my staff and I found it difficult to pick a winner.
“All the entries were colourful and creative and have certainly cheered up our office at a very busy time of year
“Congratulations to all of our winners. I will be sending £100 worth of book tokens to Eila’s school, £50 of tokens to Mimi’s school and £25 of tokens to the Downs View Infant School.
“I would like to take this opportunity to wish everybody in the South East a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year”.
Antony has announced the winners on video. You can watch this on Facebook @AntonyHookMEP.
